Project Update

I really apologize for not posting for awhile, but I would rather make quality posts than posts about nothing that ramble on. I decided though that I did need to make some kind of contact every once in a while, even if I had nothing to report.

As far as the projects, the traffic building is still going on. I am about done adding to the list of directories that I am using. It has over 500 in the list, but some are for niche blogs, like webmasters only, and mine did not fit in. But in the end I will have over 150 listings in the directories, all PR-3, 4 or 5, a couple higher.

I have also made a Squidoo page for my blog, but I am very discouraged by the results so far. I am not ranked for any of my keywords. I guess Google really slapped away the magic that Squidoo used to have. I will be updating it some to help bring up the rankings and I need to make more lenses, but with a different twist, like “The Best Money Making Blogs” and of course put My Internet Lab on top! lol

I also wrote an article at ezinearticles.com and so far have had 26 views and one person that clicked the link to my blog. Small, but not bad for just a few days. Need to make many more articles.

As for the niche sites with WordPress project, I have not decided if I want to make the blogs and the content sort of related (like dogs, different breeds, all dog related) or make them totally different (like cars, dating services,ring-tones). So when I do that I will get the appropriate domain names and then set them up. Right now I am leaning towards all related, then I would be able to “corner the market” so to speak on that subject, so when someone types in a search for that subject, at least one of the sites should show up in the results.

Keep on stopping by and keeping up with my progress, it is greatly appreciated.

Till next time…..

Scott

Traffic Generation Program Is Working

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by today and feel free to ask a question or leave a comment, as your participation is greatly appreciated.

I am still inputting my website to directories all over the web. To see the directories that I am submitting to, see my post “First Project Starts Today” and the link is in that post.

Since my last post, I had been also using MyBlogLog to get new viewers. It is an awesome and responsive tool, but I have limited my use of it for awhile to get the full effect of the directory submission and the other steps of the program.

The last two days have seen 9 and 7 page views respectively and an additional 5 FeedBurner subscribers, for a total of 9 subscribers so far in less then a week. I am really satisfied with the results so far and at the same time I am sort of surprised at these satisfying results as it seems that this program is working and it has only been a few days into it.

I am looking for new projects to do in conjunction with this one as it is not taking as much time as I thought it would. I have one in mind, but if you have any suggestions I would be glad to hear them.

Till next time…..

Scott

Moving Right Along

Hi,

Thanks for stopping by today and feel free to ask a question or leave a comment, as your participation is greatly appreciated.

I just wanted to give you a quick update of my progress since I started this traffic building project on March 1st.

I have been submitting the site to directories and making comments on different related blogs. There was a few visit from the comments, but not many. My biggest traffic builder was MyBlogLog.com’s little widget. You can see it in the sidebar on the right. I put it in at work on IE and it looked great, but when I got home on Firefox it is shifted to the side. If anyone might know how to fix it, your suggestions would be great!

Anyway, the traffic from that widget was almost one to one. If I visited their site, they would visit mine. I had 15 visitors on Sunday, March 2, and have added 2 subscribers via FeedBurner, not bad for starting from nothing.

Later this week I will be submitting some articles and making a Squidoo page along with what I have been doing.

Till next time…..

Scott
